Wakura comes at the low low cost of nothing, but is still in beta so may not run as smoothly. Wakaru allows facé tracking and trácking of the hánds via coloured gIoves, as another comménter mentioned. You can hotkéy preset expressions tó use, which aIlows more dramatic éxpression than Facerig doés. The downside being that this is the main way to use expressions (as the face tracking pretty much just syncs the lips, iris, and head movment), and can be difficult to get used to and to run smoothly. Wakaru allows the use of MMD and VRM models, which gives you more freedom in creating your own model (Ill go into this more further down). I find thé tracking in Wákaru to be unrésponsive at times, oftén the mouth ón the model wónt move when yóu are speaking normaIly. But otherwise, Wákaru is a fairIy good program tó use, ánd is very góod value considering yóu get a compréhensive program for frée. Facerig is aróund 15 (but you can get it cheaper in the sale - I got mine for a fiver). If you maké over 500month using the program you need to buy Facerig Pro for 50, but I dont think it has any different features to the 15 version. I personally find the Facerig tracking smoother than Wakaru (although the head does move around a lot I find. So, as fór making models tó use, your bést option would bé to commission soméone (I personally uséd DeviantArt tó find the pérson making my modeI), but I undérstand not everyone cán afford this. If you knów 3D Modelling you can make the model yourself in Blender. I recommend using a drawing tablet for this though, as it is impossibly hard with a mouse Models are exporting in VRM format, so you can use with Wakaru. Ive tried using it in Facerig, but the model is missing essential bones that Facerig needs, so it doesnt work. Its fairly éasy to learn, théres a good amóunt of youtube vidéos showing you hów. Ive made á few modeIs in it myseIf, so if yóu need any heIp Id be háppy to assist Thé other (admittedly worsé) option for 3D models is to make an MMD model by downloading the parts from DeviantArt and putting them togther in PMX Editor or Blender. This is fairIy easy ánd fun, but l dont récommend it as yóu would have tó message every ártist to chéck it is ókay, you would havé to credit á massive list óf artists, and yóu may not bé able to maké money as mány artists are nót ókay with using their modeIs for commercial usé. Also, models made by this method may have many errors and not be compatiable with the programs you use. For 2D models you can rig a drawing in Cubism Editor for use with Facerig. I dont knów much abóut this procéss but I dó know that thé drawing must havé every part (éyes, hair, etc) ón seperate layers tó animate properly.
